There are currently no known security breaches affecting Rooms4You.
However, scammers may still attempt to impersonate landlords, tenants or even Rooms4You staff. Staying informed is your best protection.
Fake Deposit Requests

We've received reports of scammers asking tenants to pay deposits before viewing properties. In many cases the scammer disappears immediately after receiving payment.
How to Stay Safe
- ✔ View the property whenever possible.
- ✔ Verify the landlord.
- ✔ Don't rush into making payment.
- ✔ Contact us if something seems suspicious.
Common Rental Scams
💳 Deposit Scam
A scammer asks for money before you can inspect the property.
🏠 Fake Property
Photos are stolen from another website and used to advertise a room that doesn't exist.
📱 WhatsApp Impersonation
Someone pretends to represent Rooms4You or the landlord using a different phone number.
📧 Fake Emails
Fraudsters send emails pretending to be Rooms4You using similar email addresses.
🚩 What Should You Do?
- Stop communicating if something feels suspicious.
- Do not send money until you're comfortable.
- Take screenshots of messages.
- Save email addresses and phone numbers.
- Report the incident to Rooms4You.
🔒 Safety Reminders
- ✔ Rooms4You never asks tenants to send rental deposits to us.
- ✔ We never ask for your password.
- ✔ We never ask for your OTP.
- ✔ Always verify official communication.
- ✔ Report suspicious behaviour immediately.
