Before paying or signing anything, make sure you're dealing with the correct person.
- ✔ Check whether the landlord has a Verified badge.
- ✔ Confirm their contact details.
- ✔ Ask who owns or manages the property.
- ✔ Don't ignore warning signs or inconsistent answers.
3️⃣ View the Property
Whenever possible, inspect the property before making any payment.
- ✔ Confirm the address.
- ✔ Check that the room matches the photos.
- ✔ Inspect doors, windows, plumbing and electricity.
- ✔ Ask about house rules, visitors and shared spaces.
- ✔ Meet the landlord or property manager.

Make sure you know exactly what you're expected to pay.
