  • βœ” Confirm their contact details.
  • βœ” Ask who owns or manages the property.
  • βœ” Don't ignore warning signs or inconsistent answers.

3️⃣ View the Property


Whenever possible, inspect the property before making any payment.

  • βœ” Check that the room matches the photos.
  • βœ” Inspect doors, windows, plumbing and electricity.
  • βœ” Ask about house rules, visitors and shared spaces.
  • βœ” Meet the landlord or property manager.
